By booking any service with Take the Lead Petcare Co., you agree to the following terms and conditions. These are in place to protect both the client and the service provider and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all animals in our care.

2. Services Provided
• Dog walking (group and solo)
• Pet sitting & drop‑in visits
• Small animal care
• Nail clipping
• Pet taxi services
All services are subject to availability and suitability.

3. Bookings & Payments
• All bookings must be made in advance.
• Payment is due before or on the day of service.
• Accepted payment methods confirmed at booking.
• Block bookings may be offered at discretion.

4. Cancellations & Refunds
• 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations.
• Less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
• No‑shows will be charged at full rate.
• Refunds are not issued for early returns or unused time.

5. Access to Property
• Clients must provide safe and secure access.
• Keys/alarm codes must be provided in advance if required.
• We may refuse service if a pet poses a safety risk.
• Injuries, illnesses, or concerns will be reported immediately.

6. Pet Health & Behaviour
• All pets must be vaccinated, flea/worm treated, and healthy.
• Behavioural issues must be disclosed.
• We reserve the right to refuse services if a pet poses a safety or welfare risk.
• Any injuries, illnesses, or concerns will be communicated immediately.

7. Pet Taxi Service
• Transport of pets to vet appointments or agreed locations.
• Pets will be safely secured during transport.
• All transportation is at the owner’s risk.

8. Small Animal Care
• We care for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and other small pets.
• Enclosures must be safe, clean, and secure.
• Specific care instructions are required.

9. Nail Clipping
• Nail clipping is carried out with care; cooperation required.
• We are not responsible for minor nicks or scratches.
• Owners will be informed if a pet is too stressed or uncooperative.

Hot Weather Safety Policy
1. Service Adjustments
Take the Lead Petcare Co. reserves the right to adjust any booked dog walk to a drop‑in visit, enrichment session, garden time, or indoor stimulation if temperatures reach a level deemed unsafe for walking.

2. Safety Thresholds
Decisions are based on current veterinary guidance, humidity, breed risk, pavement temperature, and real‑time conditions.
The safety and wellbeing of your dog will always take priority.

3. Payment & Cancellations
• When a walk is adjusted to a drop‑in visit for safety, the full walk fee still applies.
• If a client chooses to cancel due to hot weather rather than accept the adjusted service, the booking is treated as a same‑day cancellation and is charged in full.
• Weather conditions are outside of our control; your booking reserves a space that cannot be re‑filled at short notice.

4. Duty of Care
Dogs will never be walked on hot pavements or in temperatures that pose a risk of heatstroke.
All decisions are made with the dog’s welfare as the top priority.
